About
Alison Ayres is a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who is eager to bring her positive attitude and vast knowledge of pediatric conditions to Madison Health Primary Care, as well as the newborn nursery. She is experienced in caring for children from birth to 21 years old.
Ayres received her Masters of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Kentucky. Growing up in the Hilliard area, it was important for Ayres to return to central Ohio and practice pediatric medicine in a community setting. Her career includes extensive experience within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, as well as nursing experience at Kentucky Children’s Hospital in Lexington. She has worked in several primary care, urgent care and emergency department settings, and took a special interest in several specialty clinics while working at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Ayres has experience in neonatal resuscitation and continues to help mothers and babies maximize their success with breastfeeding. Ayres is also certified in grief counseling.
She values family-centered care and believes that quality patient care incorporates a solid foundation of assessment, teamwork, prioritization and good communication skills. She looks forward to getting to know the families in the Madison County area and beyond.
Ayers is currently caring for patients at the Park Avenue Medical Building in London.
