Summer has officially begun, and that means it’s time to play golf. Register today for the Madison County Hospital Foundation’s 2010 County Classic golf outing held on Wednesday, August 11 and Thursday, August 12 at the London Country Club.
MCH Foundation Executive Director Mona Flax says, “If you’re only going to play in one golf outing this summer, make it the County Classic. Bob Powers and our golf committee members work hard to make this tournament outstanding — great players’ gifts, lots of prizes, challenging games, and good food. And, every dollar raised helps improve local health care right here in Madison County.”
The two-day golf event offers two different formats. Wednesday’s four-person shamble begins at 12:30 pm. The fee is $100 per person and includes 18 holes of golf, carts, beverages on the course, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, and an opportunity to win over $1,200 in prize money.
On Thursday players will compete in a six-person scramble and have a choice of either a 7:30 am or 1:30 pm shotgun start. The cost is $80 per person and includes 18 holes of golf, carts, lunch, dinner, and beverages on the course. The day will include unique chipping and putting contests, new games, and great players’ gifts and prizes.
Register for both days and only pay $160 to play 36 holes of golf.
This year proceeds from the event will help keep great care available in Madison County by helping fund improvements such as bringing electronic health records to MCH and providing for the Breast Cancer Endowment Fund.
