Lights of Love, the annual holiday illumination ceremony, is scheduled for Monday, November 30 at 5:30 p.m. in the front lawn of the hospital. The event is co-sponsored by the hospital’s Auxiliary and the Foundation.
The official lighting ceremony coincides with Downtown London's Old Fashioned Christmas celebration. A performance by the Rosedale Bible College Chorale, a blessing of the trees, and cookies and hot chocolate can be enjoyed at the Lights of Love ceremony before heading to the festivities downtown.
Also during this ceremony, the hospital will be dedicating their new chapel to the late Verna Gallimore, who volunteered more than 20,000 hours at the hospital. The interfaith chapel includes a beautiful custom-designed stained glass window created by MCH Auxiliary member Grace Feyh.
Lights of Love is a holiday celebration designed to pay tribute to those you love. You may chose to honor or remember someone special by purchasing a twinkling light on the giant blue spruce tree in front of the hospital or sponsoring an illuminated sign that lines the front lawn along with a multitude of smaller lit trees. Proceeds will be used to support the Breast Cancer Initiative and expand breast cancer services in Madison County.
