Roger Coate welcomed as new Lead Satellite Therapist
September 20, 2015
Madison Health’s Rehabilitation Services program is proud to announce that it is expanding its services to help meet the needs of the community.
Roger Coate, PT, DPT, now serves as the Lead Satellite Therapist at the organization’s Performance and Rehabilitation Center, located at Madison Medical Center in London.
As a physical therapist at the satellite location, Coate maintains the responsibilities of daily patient care as well as marketing an emphasis on sports medicine and performance enhancement. He looks to attain his upcoming credentialing as a Sports Certification Specialist and certification in Functional Capacity Evaluation.
Coate has a strong desire to strengthen the relationship between Madison Health and area schools to provide local athletes with a facility, as well as a professional and specialist, to allow rehabilitation tailored toward the athlete.
"I was inspired to become a physical therapist because I enjoy promoting health and wellness, fitness and an active lifestyle for a person’s overall well-being,” said Coate. “I am devoted to working with my patients and assisting them with their fitness goals and have a vested interest in helping athletes achieve their best performance on the field.”
Before coming to Madison Health, Coate served as an outpatient physical therapist at Excel Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as Springfield Regional Medical Center. In both settings, he gained valuable orthopedic experience.
Coate earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 2009 and a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2011, both from the University of Findlay.
Originally from London, Coate now resides outside of South Charleston on a small farm with his two-year old son, Nathan. He is an avid Buckeyes and Reds fan, but his greatest enjoyment is supporting our local athletes. In addition to helping others, Coate enjoys staying busy on his farm, being outdoors, competing in various road races, history, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
