Enhanced dining experience unveiled at MCH

"We've been talking a lot internally about providing a positive experience for our customers and, looking around the Diner, this couldn't be a better example of providing just that," said Dana Engle, CEO at MCH. "This is also the first of a number of really aggressive renovations and changes going on throughout our facility."
MCH collaborated with C&T Design and Equipment Company, Melinda Elliot from Fine Designs & Interiors, Creative Carpet and Qwest to provide upgrades and create a more inviting atmosphere for all visitors.
The Food and Nutrition Services staff worked closely with food vendor chefs to help create new menu items from panini sandwiches to daily specials. The Western-themed grand opening featured all-natural bone-in ribs and slow-roasted barbeque chicken. Other themed options will include Fiesta, Asian and Under the Sea.
The Diner features cook-to-order food stations such as a deli station where staff can order custom sandwiches, including paninis, and a grilling system where specialty items, such as stir fry and omelets, are featured daily. The salad bar expanded to allow for 18 different topping selections.
More than 210 meals are served at MCH per day and business was interrupted by the project.
"I would like to thank my staff as well as each person who had an interaction with us during this transition," said Darren Renz, Director of Food and Nutrition Services at MCH. "We had to continue to serve our customers, which involved relocating the cafeteria line to the hallway, and I appreciate everyone's patience."
The Diner is open to the public, seven days a week from 7am until 6:45pm.
