2014 MCH Auxiliary officers installed

During the Madison County Hospital Auxiliary's January meeting, Dana Engle, CEO, swore in officers Millie Newman, President; Nancy Snyder, Vice-President; Marilyn Knox, Secretary; and Linda Houser, Treasurer.
The MCH Auxiliary supports the hospital through fundraising efforts such as their annual Bake-Nic, Geranium Sale and Lights of Love celebration. In 2013, the Auxiliary donated funds to help purchase a new cardiac stress system and an EKG machine for the Emergency Department. Through the years, the Auxiliary has raised more than $1 million, making Auxilians the hospital’s most generous benefactors.
"Thank you so much for your hard work and commitment to MCH," said Engle. "You are one of our most valuable resources."
Another endeavor of the Auxiliary is the operation of Edie's Place, the MCH gift shop. Gift shop profits are maximized by the use of an all-volunteer staff and management. Ellen Simpson and Barb Sidebotham are volunteers who help manage the shop and they depend on a group of dedicated volunteers to staff the shop every day.
During the meeting, outgoing President Anne Carter presented Engle with last year's profits from Edie's Place, which amounted to $18,000.
