MCH welcomes new orthopedic surgeon

Stephen Olson, MD is Madison County Hospital's newest orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Olson recently joined Robert Mueller, MD and Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centers to provide excellent orthopedic care to Madison County and the surrounding communities.
Dr. Olson attended medical school at the University of Cincinnati. He performed his orthopedic surgery residency training at University of Missouri in Kansas City. He completed a one-year fellowship in sports medicine at the renowned Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee. During this time, he was part of the medical team taking care of athletes at the University of Memphis as well as the Memphis Grizzlies professional basketball team.
Dr. Olson is well-trained in general orthopedic problems including fracture care, orthopaedic trauma, joint replacements, and overuse disorders of the hand, foot and ankle. His area of special interest and expertise is the treatment of sports-related injuries of the knee and shoulder using arthroscopic procedures.
