Auxiliary officers sworn in for 2013
January 23, 2013
During their January meeting, the Madison County Hospital (MCH) Auxiliary officers were sworn in for another year by Mike Browning, CFO and interim CEO. The officers are Anne Carter, President; Millie Newman, Vice President; Barb Geesling, Secretary; and Linda Houser, Treasurer.
The MCH Auxiliary is comprised of volunteers who dedicate countless hours to support the hospital through fundraising efforts. Annual events such as the Bake-nic, Geranium Sale and Lights of Love celebration have made the Auxiliary the hospital's most generous benefactor.
Another endeavor of the Auxiliary is the operation of Edie's Place, the MCH gift shop. Named in honor of long-time volunteer Edie Tolley, the gift shop is both staffed and managed by Auxilians. Their volunteer efforts also help maximize the gift shop's profits.
During the meeting, gift shop bookkeeper, Barb Sidebotham and buyer, Ellen Simpson presented Linda Houser, Auxiliary Treasurer, with a check for $19,000. This was the proceeds from Edie's Place for 2012.
The Auxiliary's next event is the $5 Jewelry Sale on February 20 at MCH.
