Bob Powers Classic Results
August 27, 2012
“We are able to continue our mission of providing quality health care in Madison County because of events like the Bob Powers Classic,” said Kelly Snyder, Executive Director of the MCH Foundation.
Funds from the golf outing will benefit the Foundation's campaign "Caring for Today and Tomorrow." The $2 million campaign supports information technology initiatives, including the addition of electronic health records; adds new equipment to radiology, surgery, and laboratory; and expands endowment funds that assist uninsured patients.
At the two-day golf event, players competed in both individual and team competitions.
Wednesday’s 17 four-person golf teams competed in a shamble with awards for both the low gross team and the low net team. Congratulations to the winners!
Low Gross Team: Bryan Howard, Jim Murphy, Darrin Nance, and Phil Wall.
Low Net Team: Gene Ball, John Brill, Drew Dwyer, and Jamie Peart.
Thursday’s 15 six-person golf teams competed in a classic scramble. Congratulations to the winners!
First Place Team: Bryan Howard, Darrin Nance, Vince Marchese, Shawn Shingler, Phil Wall, and Stacey Weigland.
Second Place Team: Connor Brown, Sharon Brown, Matt Keyes, Tom Morris, Ted Pezzata, and Mark Yerke.
Golfers also competed individually for closest to the pin and longest putt on two specific holes. The winners in the men’s competition were Bill Ison for closest to the pin and Todd Lane for longest putt. In the ladies' competition, Chieko Arikawa won both closest to the pin and longest putt.
Madison County Hospital and the Foundation would like to thank all the sponsors, golfers, and volunteers that made this year’s Bob Powers Classic a success.
“I am overwhelmed by the continued support of the community and hope to see everyone out on the course next year on August 14 and 15,” said Snyder.
