Volunteers Honored at Annual Awards Luncheon
September 14, 2011
This past week Madison County Hospital recognized some of their most important partners in helping the community: their volunteers.
"Each of our volunteers is a blessing to us," said Mike Browning, MCH's Chief Financial Officer. "We are grateful that they choose to spend their time helping us at Madison County Hospital."
MCH volunteers help in a variety of ways including managing the gift shop, assisting in administrative work, delivering meals on wheels, and helping in various departments of the hospital including the emergency room, operating room, and OB. Without their dedication and constant support, MCH would not be able to provide such high quality care.
Aden Rozell won the Jean Smith Award after volunteering 908 hours this past year. The Jean Smith Award recognizes the volunteer who has accumulated the most hours in one year and can only be received once.
Aden has been an MCH volunteer since January 2009. In this short time, he has accumulated 1,688 volunteer hours. He volunteers in the Materials Management Department and the Occupational Health Department. He says that he volunteers because he enjoys helping people.
