Meet Our New Speech Therapist
April 22, 2011
Erin McCullough, M.A., CCC-SLP is the new Speech-Language Pathologist at Madison County Hospital (MCH).

As the speech-language pathologist, Erin provides a wide range of services to patients of all ages who exhibit difficulty with communications, cognition, or swallowing. Speech difficulties may result from autism, stroke, head injuries, or developmental delays.

"I am able to help people from young children to older adults," said Erin. "One of the benefits of my job is being able to help people of all ages and watch their improvement over time."

A native of East Palestine, a small town in northeast Ohio, Erin received both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Akron. Before coming to Madison County Hospital, she worked in a skilled nursing facility in Springfield.

"I really like the atmosphere at Madison County Hospital," said Erin. "Everyone has been very welcoming, and I am looking forward to working with the community."

If you feel you or your child may benefit from speech therapy, visit your physician for a prescription. You can also contact Erin to learn more about speech therapy benefits and treatment options at 740-845-7296.
