Health Tip: Cold-Weather Workouts
You just may burn a few extra calories
-- Diana Kohnle

(HealthDay News) -- As the weather turns colder, you don't have to abandon your exercise program.

The American Heart Association says:

  • Exercise can help boost your immunity during the winter months.
  • Working out during colder weather may burn more calories.
  • Wear layers of clothing that you can peel off as your body temperature rises.

Talk to your doctor about how you could benefit from cold-weather exercise.
