Health Tip: Exercise for Better Sleep
It can ease stress and prepare you for rest
-- Diana Kohnle

(HealthDay News) -- Exercising during the day can lead to better sleep at night.

The National Sleep Foundation offers suggestions that can help you sleep better:

  • Engaging in cardiovascular exercise, such as walking or biking, for about 10 minutes per day can help promote sleep.
  • Getting regular exercise can help lower the risk of conditions such as sleep apnea or restless legs syndrome.
  • Exercising can help you sleep longer and improve the quality of sleep, helping you feel more rested.
  • Exercising outdoors exposes you to natural daylight, which helps promote sleep.
